About The Position

The Pharmacy Tech III Certified position at AdventHealth Orlando involves providing medication distributive functions and pharmacy operational tasks. Requirements

• High School degree or equivalent.
• One year of hospital pharmacy experience (retail or ambulatory experience acceptable for medication history function in lieu of hospital experience).
• Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT).
• Sterile Compounding Certification, if applicable per state legislation.
• Current certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT), or from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Nice To Haves

• Associates degree or technical degree in a related field or specific certification related to the position, preferably in a physical science, business or healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist with preparing and dispensing medications.
• Manage inventory and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Respond accurately to medication dispensing requests.
• Prepare medications for pharmacist final review/check.
• Deliver checked medications and return unused or expired medications to appropriate areas.
• Perform duties necessary for the effective daily operation of all department services and programs.
