About The Position

Apply now to take advantage of recently increased pay rates! The position assists the pharmacist in preparing medications for dispensing. The individual does not dispense any medication that isn’t double checked by a registered pharmacist. Responsibilities include running the pharmacy robot, maintaining stock in automated dispensing cabinets, drawing up doses in the IV class 10,000 clean room utilizing a class 100 laminar flow hood and aseptic technique, performing pharmacy stock QA inspections on all nursing units, making delivery/pickup rounds to units and departments, performing computer order entry functions, and completing other tasks as assigned by supervisors/pharmacists. The role also involves providing customer service by processing paper, electronic, and phone requests for medications.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • Some previous pharmacy related or hospital clinical background preferred.
  • Preference will be given to nationally certified pharmacy technicians.

Nice To Haves

  • Pharmacy Tech I: Less than one year of experience, or 1+ years of experience without a Pharmacy Technician certification.
  • Pharmacy Tech II: 1 year of experience and a Pharmacy Technician certification.
  • Pharmacy Tech III: 1 year of experience and a Pharmacy Technician certification, and a specialty area of assignment (trainer, automation expert, etc).
