About The Position

This position, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, assists in the procurement, storage, preparation, distribution, and delivery of medications and information and other pharmaceutical products to Phoenix Children's patients in a timely and accurate fashion and in accordance with established regulations and procedures. This position performs hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding. This position must maintain at least two (2) position specific competencies in accordance with the Pharmacy Department competency requirements. This position receives direct supervision from Inpatient Pharmacy Supervisors and Managers.

Requirements

• Must maintain at least two (2) position specific competencies in accordance with the Pharmacy Department competency requirements.
• Completes all preliminary and annual competencies or certifications required for the safe handling of cytotoxic medications.
• Accurately completes all corresponding records keeping and quality assurance documentation.
• Utilizes pharmacy information software to process pharmacy requisition and medication requests.

• Participates in a variety of department process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
