KH Dayton expanded their Emergency Department as well as their heart & vascular services to include an additional catheterization lab and electrophysiology lab. Partners with Gem City Market to provide fresh fruits and vegetables every Tuesday within the hospital. One of the largest osteopathic teaching hospitals in the United States. 371 bed facility. Over the past several years, KH Dayton has received many awards, including: Top 100 Hospital, Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades in 2019, and received an “A” from the Leapfrog Group, a national patient safety watchdog, ranking among the safest hospitals in the United States.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or GED.
  • Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician.
  • Accurate work with careful attention to detail.
  • Excellent math and computer skills.
  • Possess necessary interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, coworkers, and other health professionals.
  • Cohesive team-building skills.
  • Must be able to write legibly, speak, and read English proficiently.
  • Must be able to operate computer, calculator, telephone, and other related pharmacy equipment.
  • Adapt to changes in workload and schedule to meet patient needs.
  • Ability to set priorities and to re-set priorities as needed by situations in the department.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a rewarding work environment in a Hospital Pharmacy setting.
  • Interact with Pharmacists, Nurses, Physicians, and Patients daily.
  • Work alongside pharmacists in providing care to patients.
  • Be trained on sterile IV compounding, the use of automated dispensing systems (Omnicell), repackaging systems, IV compounding systems, and inventory management processes.
  • Work with the EPIC health information system and Microsoft Suite resources.
  • Grow into roles that will expose you to specialty areas of the organization.
