About The Position

Pharmacy Technician-Swedish Infusion Centers Location: Primarily working at Swedish Cancer Center, with rotation cross other infusion cetners as needed [Kellogg Cancer Center (Evanston, Glenview, and Highland Park locations), Niles Infusion Center, and Arlington Heights Infusion Center]

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; certification required within two years of initial licensure.
• Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred.
• If candidate does not have prior compounding and/or hospital experience, then we are willing to provide on the job training to an individual who is motivated to learn aseptic compounding skills and is a quick learner looking for a new challenge

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile compounded products for IV infusion (such as bags, syringes, pumps) in accordance with sterile clean room regulations
• Ensure there is adequate inventory of supplies and medications available as needed for patient care
• Assist pharmacists in maintaining medications records and files as needed
• Place medication and supply orders to maintain appropriate inventory levels
• Other duties as assigned
