About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician position at Advocate Christ Medical Center is a full-time role that involves developing competence in dispensing and delivery of medications. Requirements

• High School Graduate.
• Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) issued by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or National Healthcare Association to be obtained within 2 years.
• Good mathematics skills.
• Attention to details.
• Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops competence in dispensing and delivery of medications.
• Utilizes information systems, technology, and automation for dispensing and storage of medications.
• Prepares non-sterile products following USP, state, and federal recommendations.
• Enters medication orders in the computer system and processes medication requests.
• Manages phone calls from customers and team members, ensuring timely resolution.
• Complies with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
