About The Position

Pharmacy Technician will be working under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist and will carry out the responsibilities that are assigned by the Director of Pharmacy and approved by the Oregon State Board of Pharmacy.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Completed basic science and math courses.
Pharmacy Technician Registration with Oregon Board of Pharmacy
Computer skills and experience
IV Admixture and sterile compounding procedures
Pyxis support, load and unload and refill features.

Previous hospital experience

Working Conditions: Inside environment, protected from the weather, but not necessarily temperature changes. Subject to potential exposure to infectious and contagious disease, and hazardous (including biohazard) materials and equipment; Potentially subject to combative/confused patients; Variable noise levels; Subject to rapid pace, multiple stimuli, unpredictable environment, and critical situations.
Physical Demands/Traits: Must be able to 1) Perceive the nature of sounds by ear; 2) express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word; 3) lift, carry, push and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds; 4) continuous walking and standing.
