About The Position

Pharmacy Support Delivery Driver Part-Time; 16 Hours Per Week; M-F 8a-6p rotating The Pharmacy Support Assistant provides essential administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the pharmacy. This role involves assisting pharmacy staff with non-clinical tasks such as inventory management, data entry, cleaning, customer service, general clerical duties and pickup and delivery of pharmacy medications/or items. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Registered as a support person with the Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
  • Valid Iowa driver’s license for at least three years with an acceptable or clear rating according to the Motor Vehicle Record chart. (see job description)
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years driving experience with no record of DUI, DWI, or similar alcohol or drug related offenses over the past 5 years. In addition there will be no record of reckless driving, careless driving, speeding over 15 miles above the speed limit, fleeing or eluding a police officer, chemical test refusal, leaving the scene of an accident, driving after revocation or suspension, or passing a stopped school bus in the last 5 years.
  • Able to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the receipt, storage, and organization of pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Perform inventory checks and restock shelves as needed.
  • Support pharmacists and technicians by preparing prescription labels and packaging materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels and help with supply ordering and tracking.
  • Respond to inquiries from patients and healthcare staff in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assist in data entry of prescriptions and patient information into pharmacy systems.
  • File prescriptions and other pharmacy records according to regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of pharmacy workspaces and storage areas.
  • Pick-up and/or deliver medications or other pharmacy items as instructed by the Pharnacy team.
