Every other weekend; 8hr shifts rotating between day and evening shift 1 weekday evening shift per week; 4 PM - 9:30PM Overview Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more. Role Purpose Under direct supervision of staff pharmacists, the Pharmacy Technician has primary responsibility of preparing drugs in unit-dose for IV/OR, inpatient and ancillary area. According to standard procedures, Pharmacy Students assist the staff pharmacist in physician order processing, dispensing medications, transporting medication supplies and maintaining appropriate records.

Requirements

• 2-5 years
• No Experience
• Pharmacist Intern

Responsibilities

• Provides accurately prepared orders of pharmaceutical supplies by properly assembling orders and requisitions with the correct products.
• Provides accurately prepared sterile preparations by properly following procedures.
• Maintains quality assurance standards and maintenance of required documentation.
• Delivers IV solutions and medications to nursing divisions and ancillary departments.
• Maintains a clean, orderly and sufficiently stocked work area.
