About The Position
Our specialty pharmacy plays a vital role in ensuring patients and clinics receive life‑sustaining medications safely, accurately, and on time. The Pharmacy Shipping & Operations Associate supports specialty pharmacy operations by preparing and shipping medication orders to clinics and patients’ homes. This role ensures accuracy, temperature‑controlled packaging, and timely delivery for medications requiring special handling. You will collaborate closely with pharmacy staff, delivery liaisons, and carriers to ensure each order meets quality, safety, and compliance standards. With pharmacy manager approval, incumbents may elect to participate in a pharmacy technician training program, making this a strong opportunity for both experienced pharmacy technicians and candidates interested in entering the field.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills
- Confident phone etiquette and customer service focus
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Ability to quickly learn new pharmacy and shipping systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to extract relevant information efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills in a fast‑paced, regulated environment
- Education: High school diploma or GED required
- Experience: 0–12 months of relevant experience (pharmacy, shipping, fulfillment, or healthcare operations preferred)
- Licensure/Certification: Successful completion of a pharmacy technician trainee exam, if applicable

Responsibilities
- Verify prescription orders match listed medications on delivery tickets
- Process prescriptions through the POS system and apply appropriate payment methods
- Package medications using approved materials, including temperature‑sensitive supplies
- Enter shipping details accurately into UPS WorldShip and Dynamex systems
- Track shipments and proactively confirm successful delivery
- Investigate delivery issues and communicate resolutions with internal teams
- Request clarification and provide feedback on incomplete or inaccurate delivery slips
- Organize outgoing packages by delivery type and priority
- Deliver clinic‑administered medications to other on‑site pharmacy locations
- Support additional pharmacy and shipping operations as needed
