About The Position

The Pharmacy Services Manager provides leadership and direction to SelectHealth Pharmacy Services and Scripius. This position contributes to the strategic and clinical direction of the department. The Manager identifies and promotes the changes needed to provide cost-effective quality pharmacy benefits to members. Make an Impact Where Clinical Insight Meets Client Partnership SelectHealth is seeking a Pharmacy Services Manager to serve as a Pharmacy Implementation Manager and Clinical Account Manager supporting new and existing clients. This role delivers clinical insight, pharmacy benefit expertise, and exceptional service through data-driven, compliant solutions across implementation and ongoing account management. The ideal candidate has strong clinical knowledge, PBM and formulary management experience, and the ability to interpret complex clinical, utilization, and cost data and communicate recommendations effectively to both clinical and business stakeholders. Requirements

  • Pharm D. degree or Masters degree from an accredited school of pharmacy. Degree will be verified.
  • State license to practice pharmacy and dispense controlled substances.
  • Five years of pharmacy practice experience in a managed care or hospital environment.
  • Five years of Pharmacy Benefits management experience.

  • Advanced degree in business management or healthcare administration.
  • Previous pharmacy benefit management (PBM) experience
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex clinical, cost, and utilization data, and develop actionable, compliant solutions.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and provide creative, effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability and strong desire to build lasting client relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures coordination and communication of pharmacy benefit management (PBM) programs including drug manufacturer contracting, P&T Committee activities, physician communication/education, retail/community pharmacy, NCQA qualification, information services, clinical intervention programs, drug usage evaluation programs, and pharmacy outcomes research.
  • Coordinates, manages, and monitors pharmacy claims processing services, utilization management, and prior authorization protocols.
  • Conducts Drug Utilization Review projects as appropriate, which includes ability to query and analyze pharmacy data.
  • Oversees Clinical Coordinators, pharmacy residents and student activities.
  • Promotes stand-alone PBM through relationships with customers, brokers, and key employer group executives.
