Summary Develops clinical and professional skills that will be used to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services in a patient-focused health care setting. Acts as a resource for information and guidance to hospital personnel and physicians in medication therapy and management. Participates in formulary management and medication use evaluations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in pharmacy
  • Ability to accurately dispense and monitor medications.
  • RP - Registered Pharmacist - State of Pennsylvania within 120 Days

Responsibilities

  • Participates in patient care activities including patient rounds with physicians, patient monitoring, pharmacokinetics, drug utilization evaluations, poster presentations, residency, and research projects.
  • Participates in new resident recruiting and ASHP accreditation processes.
  • Authors articles in inter/intra departmental newsletters on a regular basis.
  • Serves as a clinical staff pharmacist.
  • Serves to assist in the education and training of undergraduate pharmacy students from affiliated colleges of pharmacy.
  • Performs literature searches using Medline, Micromedex, etc.
  • Provides drug information and educational in services to the pharmacy, nursing, medical staff, and other healthcare providers.
