About The Position

Pharmacy Resident UnityPoint Health - Allen The Pharmacy Resident is a pharmacist who is undergoing additional post-graduate training by participating in a number of intensive learning experiences designed to build on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for additional postgraduate training. Requirements

PharmD or equivalent experience
Eligible for Iowa licensure

Must be US citizen.

Responsibilities

Required rotations include orientation, critical care, internal medicine, cardiology, practice management, and family medicine with longitudinal experiences of anticoagulation clinic, service commitment and project management.
Electives may include infectious disease, rural care, emergency medicine, mental health, and hospice/palliative care.
Residents will precept pharmacy students and obtain a teaching certificate through the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy.
