About The Position

This position is accountable for providing safe and effective pharmaceutical care at Children's Hospital. Serves as a pharmacology consultant, a patient care advocate, and a fiscal conscience to the healthcare team while providing clinical services to meet the needs of patients/care providers, physicians, nurses and other healthcare team members. Processes safe and effective drug therapy through review of physician's orders, administration of drug therapy and measurement of outcomes, and provides clinical pharmaceutical services. This position is for a pharmacist seeking additional specialty training and education. The emphasis of the experience obtained is advanced education and in pediatric pharmacy practice.

Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year related experience required.
• College Degree - 4 year in Pharmacy or equivalent required.
• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree required.
• RPH - Registered Pharmacist California State Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire or transfer into position required.
• BLS - Basic Life Support is required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position.
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support is required within 12 months of hire or transfer into position.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 12 months of hire or transfer into position preferred.
