About The Position

The Pharmacy Resident Administration is part of a 24 month, structured, experiential training program with a focus on pharmacy administration and leadership. Responsibilities include; staffing as a pharmacist as well as participating in a variety of intradepartmental and interdepartmental projects and activities. The individual will perform a combination of clinical, distributive and administrative pharmacy services necessary for the provision of high quality pharmaceutical care to Froedtert patients. The pharmacy resident is part of the pharmacy team at Froedtert Hospital and therefore the resident will maintain flexibility and be willing to support the department in times of unanticipated need.

Requirements

  • Good understanding of pharmacology and therapeutics, acquired through a combination of school and clerkship experience, in order to recommend appropriate and patient specific therapeutic regimens and subsequently monitor outcomes.
  • Pharm. D. degree received from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy or equivalent as indicated by achievement of the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee (FPGEC) Certification.
  • Active Wisconsin Pharmacist License is required or eligible for and must obtain within 6 months.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other health care professionals, administrators, and patients.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft computer programs including, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
