About The Position

Established in 1980, the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC) is a multi-site mission-driven non-profit organization employing over 700 staff whose primary focus is providing the highest quality patient care to residents throughout the Merrimack Valley. Nationally recognized as a leader in community medicine (family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, and geriatrics), GLFHC has clinical sites throughout the service area and is the sponsoring organization for the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program. GLFHC is currently seeking an experienced and bilingual (English / Spanish) Pharmacy Refill Representative to join our team. This customer-focused position requires someone who can demonstrate fundamental clinical knowledge of medications and the refill process. Located in our Call Center, this position is 100% phone based so communication skills are critical.

Requirements

• Either graduate from a certified pharmacy program or 1+ yrs experience in a pharmaceutical environment or both.
• Must be able to speak, read and write both Spanish and English fluently.
• Must demonstrate basic computer literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately documents patient pharmacy renewal request(s) in electronic medical record (EMR) prescription template.
• Faxes information as directed to outside pharmacies. Maintains accurate information regarding local pharmacies telephone numbers, fax numbers and addresses.
• Completes prior authorization and medical necessity forms and submits to clinician for signature in a timely manner.
