Requirements
- At least 2 years of pharmacy purchasing and inventory management experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Working knowledge of computers and basic computer programs including Excel and Word.
Nice To Haves
- Undergraduate degree in Inventory/Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Graduate of ASHP-accredited or equivalent pharmacy technician training program preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepares and processes purchase orders for medications and other products.
- Monitors, standardizes and maintains inventory for products used within Pharmacy Department.
- Performs product evaluations, controls costs, and par levels.
- Maintains communications with appropriate personnel regarding status of items on back order.
- Maintains expertise in material management software, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Anticipates specialty needs and ensures availability of supplies.
- Ensures medications and supplies are available for the following age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
