Requirements

• Minimum Board of Pharmacy license.

• Strong math skills, including basic algebra and geometry.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions and provide professional pharmacy services.
• Counsel patients regarding medications and their side effects.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in filling prescriptions.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulations.
• Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service.
• Interpret physicians' prescriptions and enter data into the computer system.
• Consult with prescribers on drug therapy appropriateness.
• Administer immunizations under defined protocols.
• Monitor and maintain patient profiles.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate service.
• Perform daily operational duties under the direction of the pharmacy manager.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations.
• Report illegal activities, including robbery and theft.
• Comply with food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations.
