Requirements

• Minimum Board of Pharmacy license.
• Effective interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to preserve confidentiality of information.
• Strong math skills, including basic algebra and geometry.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions and assure compliance with professional standards.
• Counsel patients regarding medications and potential side effects.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in filling prescriptions.
• Interpret physicians' prescriptions and enter data into the computer system.
• Monitor and maintain patient profiles.
• Administer immunizations under defined protocols.
• Provide direct patient clinical services, including medication therapy management.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate service levels.
• Perform daily operational duties under the direction of the pharmacy manager.
• Adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil codes.
• Report illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.
• Comply with food safety, sanitation and safety regulations.
