About The Position

Purpose & Scope: This position is responsible for assisting the Director in performing the management and professional functions of the pharmacy department. These include but are not limited to responsibility for day to day operations, regulatory compliance, financial performance, quality, safety and people management. These duties shall be carried out in accordance with all state and federal laws, Joint Commission standards, hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy is required.
• Five years of healthcare/medical - pharmaceutical/pharmacology experience is required.
• Three years of supervisory experience is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Licensed as a Pharmacist by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required.

Nice To Haves

• Doctorate in pharmacy, master's degree in business, or master's degree in healthcare administration is preferred.
• One year of pharmacy residency/fellowship is preferred.
