The Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. This role requires a full-time certified pharmacy technician who will operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the manager will supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers, adhering to company policies, laws, regulations, and business ethics. In this position, the manager will be accountable for the selection, scheduling, and development of pharmacy technician personnel. This includes leading training, coaching, and performance management, as well as making decisions regarding performance management, including discipline and termination. The manager will engage with customers and patients, greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, while also resolving complaints and answering non-clinical questions to ensure a positive customer experience. The role also involves assisting the pharmacist in delivering patient care, which includes patient registration, prescription data entry, and preparation of medications. The manager will complete patient and physician calls under the supervision of a pharmacist and assist with healthcare service offerings, such as administering vaccines and health screenings. The manager will exercise independent judgment to delegate and assign non-clinical work, ensuring tasks are completed on time and holding others accountable for efficient workflow. Additionally, the Pharmacy Operations Manager will prepare and file reports required by the company and government agencies, manage core pharmacy workflow, and drive excellence in pharmacy operations. This includes coordinating daily activities, recommending pharmacy hours, and ensuring the pharmacy is clean, neat, and stocked. The manager will also oversee compliance with business administrative activities and pharmacy inventory management tasks, manage annual inventory preparation, and drive new technology and process rollouts. The role requires strict adherence to company policies regarding Good Faith Dispensing and maintaining knowledge of asset protection techniques. The manager will support the Pharmacy Manager with diversion monitoring and report any security concerns.
