The position is accountable for performing day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities, ensuring efficient pharmacy workflow and a positive patient experience. As a full-time certified pharmacy technician, the individual will operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the role includes supervising pharmacy technicians and cashiers, responsible for their selection, scheduling, and development. The position also involves engaging customers, resolving complaints, and enhancing customer experience by anticipating needs and proactively offering services. Additionally, the role includes assisting the pharmacist in patient care delivery, managing pharmacy workflow, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

  • Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities.

  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers under the guidance of a pharmacist.
  • Engage customers and patients, resolving complaints and answering non-clinical questions.
  • Assist pharmacist in patient care delivery including registration, data entry, and medication preparation.
  • Manage core pharmacy workflow and drive excellence in pharmacy operations.
  • Prepare and file reports and records required by the company and government agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with business administrative activities and pharmacy inventory management.
  • Communicate prescription errors to the accountable pharmacist.
  • Manage Community Outreach Portal and coordinate off-site immunization clinics.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
  • One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
  • Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Previous people management/leadership experience.
  • Previous work experience with Walgreens with an Exceeding Expectation on last performance evaluation.
