As a Pharmacy Operations Manager at Walgreens, you will be accountable for overseeing the day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities, ensuring efficient pharmacy workflow and a positive patient experience. Building strong relationships with customers by anticipating their needs and proactively offering services will be key to enhancing their experience with the pharmacy. You will assist the pharmacist in delivering patient care, including patient registration, prescription data entry, and preparation of medications, while also completing patient and physician calls under supervision. Your role will involve managing core pharmacy workflow, driving excellence in operations, and ensuring compliance with all business administrative activities and pharmacy inventory management tasks. You will be responsible for preparing and filing reports required by the company and various government agencies, as well as managing annual inventory preparation. You will also play a crucial role in driving new technology and process rollouts, ensuring proper operation and maintenance of pharmacy equipment, and adhering to policies regarding Good Faith Dispensing during prescription activities. As a leader, you will be accountable for performance management of pharmacy technicians, including hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling. You will monitor compliance with state and federal laws and ensure that all team members maintain active licensures and certifications. Continuous personal development and communication with the pharmacy team will be essential, as you will participate in key store and pharmacy meetings and relay important messages from the support center.
