Pharmacy Nursing Manager
About The Position
The Nurse Manager is responsible for supporting the Associate Director of Pharmacy Services in the management and operations of AON Pharmacy’s Clinical Nurse Team that supports patients receiving oral specialty medications. This role combines clinical leadership, operational oversight, and strategic collaboration to ensure optimal patient outcomes, medication adherence, toxicity management, regulatory compliance, and efficient pharmacy workflows. This also includes the maintenance of relevant policies and procedures, supervision and training of staff, implementation of clinical initiatives and projects, clear bagging initiatives and quality assurance. This position will include travel to new practices for clinic evaluation and onboarding. Demonstrates working knowledge of all facets of role, relevant regulations, and organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Performs all duties in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, MSN preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience in specialty or similar work environment required, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Operational management experience preferred.
- Experience in specialty pharmacy, oncology, hematology, infusion, or complex chronic disease management.
- Strong knowledge of oral specialty medications, adherence management, and patient education.
- Proficiency with EMRs and pharmacy-related systems.
- Active, unrestricted RN License. Must become licensed in all 50 states with current licensure in state of residency
- Oncology Nursing Certification Preferred
- R.E.M.S. certification must be maintained by completing a required web-based training and the annual re-certification exam.
- Valid state Driver’s License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings.
- Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy is required.
