Pharmacy Nurse Consultant
About The Position
Longevity Scripts is seeking a full-time Nurse Consultant to support vaccination clinics, provide consultant nursing services to partner facilities, and promote safe medication practices throughout the organization. This position plays a key role in regulatory compliance, staff education, and quality improvement initiatives across Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) and Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs) statewide. The Nurse Consultant reports directly to the Director of Clinical Services and works collaboratively with the Pharmacist Consultant to support safe and compliant medication management practices. The Nurse Consultant provides clinical oversight, education, and consulting services to assigned facilities, supports immunization programs, and develops collaborative relationships with facility leadership. The role includes regular site visits, medication pass observation, staff education, and regulatory support in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Requirements
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Must maintain active Florida RN license in good standing throughout employment
- Ability to travel to assigned facilities statewide
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods during site visits and vaccination clinics
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) years in long-term care or assisted living environment preferred
- Knowledge long-term care regulations preferred
Responsibilities
- Support vaccination clinics
- Provide consultant nursing services to partner facilities

- Play a key role in regulatory compliance, staff education, and quality improvement initiatives across Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) and Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs) statewide
- Provide clinical oversight, education, and consulting services to assigned facilities

- Conduct regular site visits
- Perform medication pass observation
- Provide staff education
- Provide regulatory support in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Promote and communicate Legendary Service and upholds the mission and values of the organization
- Act and respond in a professional manner at all times
- Practice within the scope of a Registered Nurse in accordance with Florida law
- Maintain professional licensure and continuing education requirements
- Complete monthly nurse consultant site visits to Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) and quarterly visits to Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs) served by Longevity Scripts
- Conduct medication pass observations to evaluate compliance with state regulations, facility policies, and safe medication administration practices
- Provide real-time coaching and education to licensed nurses and medication technicians during site visits
- Perform medication cart inspections to ensure proper organization, labeling, storage, expiration monitoring, and infection control compliance
- Oversee and document controlled substance destruction in accordance with Florida regulations and facility policies
- Provide nurse and medication technician education regarding: Medication pass best practices, Controlled substance handling and documentation, Proper medication storage
- Document site visit findings and provides written reports and recommendations to facility leadership and pharmacy leadership
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with: Directors of Nursing, Facility Administrators, Assisted Living Executive Directors
- Serve as a clinical liaison between Longevity Scripts and facility leadership to support regulatory compliance and quality improvement initiatives
- Promote Longevity Scripts to residents, families, and team members statewide
- Support growth of pharmacy clinical services through relationship-building and educational outreach
- Maintain professional presence and serves as a representative of Longevity Scripts at assigned facilities
- Report directly to the Director of Clinical Services
- Work in collaboration with the Pharmacist Consultant
- Perform delegated duties under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services
