DeliverCareRx is an innovative national home delivery hospice pharmacy licensed in all 50 states. We are partnered with Optum Hospice Pharmacy Services, the largest pharmacy benefit manager in the hospice industry. DeliverCareRx is committed to providing effective solutions and high touch customer service to ultimately improve patient outcomes while exceeding the needs of our partners and healthcare providers. Currently, DeliverCareRx is searching for a Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacist in Charge with previous management and/or hospice pharmacy experience preferred. This role is responsible for all aspects of the facility including financial performance.

- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree
- Current state Pharmacist License
- 2-3 years of pharmacy management experience preferred
- Hospice pharmacy experience preferred

Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of the pharmacy including, but not limited to operations & workflow, hiring and staffing, facility oversight & management, policy and procedure development and oversight, pharmacy licensing and compliance including both resident and non-resident permits, staff licensing and working with IT to ensure all facility needs are met
- Review and monitor pharmacy performance metrics and inventory levels to ensure facility is meeting company productivity and financial goals
- Ensure compliance and proper filing maintenance of all prescription records, invoices and inventory records as required
- Management of all facility staff including supervision and hiring & training of new employees
- Collaborate with co-workers and other healthcare professionals to acquire and review prescriptions to determine appropriate medication therapy
- Review and verify physician medication orders on a daily basis
- Oversee medications prepared by pharmacy technicians
- Provide Drug Utilization Review
- Focus on quality assurance to correctly interpret physician orders and to prevent medication errors
- Provide high quality customer service to patients and caregivers
- Counsel patients and caregivers on medication therapy as needed
- Utilize sound judgment to make appropriate decisions in the best interest of patients and the company
- Assist with inventory functions including, but not limited to physical inventory, cycle counting, medication adjustments.
- Complete other duties as assigned
