Job Summary: The Travel Pharmacy Medbank/ Cubex Technician maintains inventory & performs restocks to ensure our clients have an adequate supply of medication. Additionally, they visit clients and troubleshoots problems with the automated technology. This position acts as the point of contact for the automated dispensing system.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Good organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Basic math and analytical skills
  • Computer knowledge is a must.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Ability to physically perform light lifting.
  • Must be able to work various shifts and days.
  • Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous pharmacy experience required (one-year experience in long-term care preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in pharmacy automation (Pyxis, Omnicell, Medbank) preferred.
  • Knowledge of Data Entry and / or IV experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain automated dispensing system inventory and restock on a daily basis.
  • Visit customers to troubleshoot problems and perform audits of medication as necessary.
  • Replenishment and maintenance of expired medication in MedBank as well as loading/destocking
  • Educate customers on utilizing Med Bank system
  • Handle all automation-related issues.
  • Build relationships with facility administration and staff
  • Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA
  • Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.
  • Medication Ekit checks
  • Knowledge of Data Entry and / or IV experience is a plus.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.
