About The Position

The Pharmacy Manager will play an essential role with direct responsibility for the safe, effective and client-focused operation of the Nuclear pharmacy. These responsibilities will include P&L and budgeting responsibility for the pharmacy

Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Pharmacist with 3+ years of nuclear pharmacist experience.
  • Must have active pharmacy license in state(s) of practice with all licenses held in good standing.
  • NRC or state Authorized User Status designation in the company’s states of operation.
  • Ability to work a variety of schedules including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the performance of the Nuclear Staff Pharmacist(s) and other Nuclear Pharmacy personnel as well as all pharmacy operations, including but not limited to complete P&L and budgeting responsibility.
  • Monitor and control operational expenses within the nuclear pharmacies according to plan.
  • Monitor the preparation and production and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals. Establish corrective actions as necessary to correct deviations below acceptable standards.
  • Assist in the maintenance and development of relationships with customers, new and existing.
  • Develop strong relationships with hospitals, clinics and other healthcare providers in the market to ensure that the pharmacy provides products, services and client focused service needed to retain existing and attract new clients.
  • Identify existing and emergent trends in nuclear pharmacy production and distribution necessary to achieve growth projections.
  • Become the Radiation Safety Officer (if required) and be responsible for obtaining required licensure and assuring compliance with all regulatory commitments, to include Radiation Safety, DOT Regulations and corporate policies. Provide guidance to maintain compliance with evolving USP Guidelines, Pharmacy laws, FDA Directives and Guidelines.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Implementation and manage an onsite Quality Assurance Program.
  • Follow and improve, in conjunction with the Director of Operations, the policies and procedures for the preparation of radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
