About The Position

UPMC Presbyterian is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to join our inpatient pharmacy leadership team. This role is well suited for you if you are an operational–clinical leader who enjoys leading people and improving practice with meaningful impact.
In this role, you will lead pharmacists within an integrated, patient‑centered practice model, supporting safe, efficient, high‑quality medication use in a complex academic medical center. This role supports operational priorities and the continued evolution of pharmacy practice, with the opportunity to help shape future direction. You will balance operational leadership with active clinical engagement—translating strategy into execution while supporting professional growth, innovative practice transformation, and the achievement of high‑quality patient outcomes.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D.) from an accredited school of pharmacy required.
• Three years of experience in a broad range of pharmacy operational, clinical, or administrative pharmacy practice OR completion of an HSPAL postgraduate pharmacy residency required.
• Pharmacist

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in pharmacy administration or healthcare management (MS, MBA, MHA) preferred.
• PGY-1 postgraduate pharmacy residency preferred.
• Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) certification preferred.
• Prior inpatient pharmacy leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee pharmaceutical care services across operational and clinical domains
• Ensure regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and patient safety
• Manage pharmacist staffing, scheduling, and professional development
• Support cost‑effective medication use and budget oversight
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary leaders to advance pharmacy practice
• Promote education, research, and continuous professional growth
