About The Position

What you will be doing: The Pharmacy Controlled Substance (CS) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, recruiting, hiring, and training Pharmacy Compliance Analysts (PCAT Analyst). The CS Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day activities of PCAT personnel. The Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and ensuring the team quality and productivity targets are met. The CS Supervisor will also be responsible for performing PCAT Analyst tasks. The CS Supervisor works under the direction of the Pharmacy Compliance Manager and may be given an opportunity to assist in the improvement and maintenance of the Controlled Substances Monitoring Program including, but not limited to, controlled substance loss reporting, store dispensing reviews, prescriber dispensing reviews, controlled substance investigations, data collection, analysis and reporting, reacting to wholesaler threshold review requests, investigation into legal and loss prevention issues, and suspicious order monitoring processes. Location The position will be based in Boise, Idaho, at our main corporate office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (Business/Finance) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years community pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong people-leader skills.
  • Proven experience in supervising others, including the ability to achieve strong results through the provision of clear direction, delegation, change management and mentoring.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision and daily oversight of PCAT Analysts
  • Recruit, hire, and train new PCAT Analysts.
  • Prepare and coordinate weekly team task assignments and schedule, including loss reporting shifts and Suspicious Order Monitoring responsibilities.
  • Coordinate and manage company requirements for preliminary controlled substance screening activities and analysis.
  • Ongoing training, development, coaching and mentoring of PCAT Analysts.
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations and management of PCAT Analysts.
  • Develop and manage key performance indicators for monitoring PCAT productivity to ensure execution and achievement of Pharmacy Compliance goals and compliance with regulatory due dates.
  • Triage any issues impacting PCAT team productivity and communicate to Pharmacy Compliance Manager.
  • Oversight and tracking of PCAT Analysts’ key performance and productivity indicators.
  • Assisting the Pharmacy Compliance Manager with managing CSMP due dates to ensure timely responses to daily activities and responsibilities.
