What You Will Do: ProHealth Care pharmacy interns in their first and second years learn central pharmacy processes with a focus on medication distribution. Pharmacy interns work with pharmacy technicians to achieve a strong understanding of all the necessary steps required for a medication to leave central pharmacy and be ready for patient administration. Pharmacy students in their third and fourth years complete more pharmacist driven activities including but not limited to patient discharge education, visual inspection of medications leaving central pharmacy, answering drug questions, and preparing code cart and procedural medication trays.
