Pharmacy Intern (Per Diem)
About The Position
Under the supervision and direction of the Pharmacist the Medication History Pharmacy Intern will perform medication histories through patient/family/significant other interviews for patients arriving in the Emergency Department to be admitted to the inpatient units. The role requires an appropriate level of understanding and training in medical terminology and medication related terms. Responsible to maintain confidential reports, enter and retrieve data utilizing the computer system, and speak confidently with patients/family, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a PharmD Program
- Current State of Connecticut Intern Registration
- Appropriate level of understanding and training in medical terminology and medication related terms
Nice To Haves
- At least one clinical rotation in a hospital setting
