Pharmacy Intern
About The Position
The Pharmacy Intern is responsible for providing excellent customer service and assisting in medication preparation, inventory management, and other assigned tasks. This individual works under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, the pharmacy intern performs a wide variety of technical and clinical duties. The pharmacy intern will assist in the provision of drug distribution services for patients. In addition, under the direction supervision of a licensed pharmacist, will assist the centralized and decentralized pharmacists’ provision of medication therapy optimization as an accountable member of the healthcare team. Temporary position for summer 2026.
Requirements
- Enrolled student at a college or university completing coursework in science and/or a healthcare profession track.
- Strong math skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
Nice To Haves
- Working towards a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy or a School of Pharmacy in the process of obtaining accreditation.
- Previous experience working in a pharmacy or hospital.
- Certified pharmacy technician
- Eligibility for WI pharmacy intern registration
