Requirements
- Current enrollment as a Pharmacy Student.
- Current State Board of Pharmacy Certificate of Pharmacy Intern
Responsibilities
- Assists the Pharmacist in the support of the drug distribution systems, including patient counseling and pharmacokinetic calculations
- Participates in performance improvement and data collections activities
- Responsible for dosage preparation
- Preparation of sterile admixture using aseptic technique
- Floor stock delivery
- Pre-packaging
- Billing
- Receiving, and stocking
- Inventory control
- Controlled substances distribution, documentation and accountability
- Assisting in the inspection of medication storage areas throughout the hospital
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the department
- Participates in providing pharmaceutical care for the following age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the Pharmacist
