The Pharmacy Intern's responsibilities in the Pharmacy Department depend upon the number of years of pharmacy school completed in addition to in house training requirements. A Pharmacy Intern has the following responsibilities in the Pharmacy Department upon completion of in house training for a specific task and: Once the Pharmacy Intern registration is obtained - Intravenous product preparation; unit dose cartfill; inventory management; automated, decentralized medication stocking (ADMs); outpatient prescription order entry, outpatient prescription double check/verification; and outpatient medication counseling. After 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of pharmacy school - All previous responsibilities in addition to completion of Pharmacist clinical training modules; inpatient medication double check/verification; central pharmacy process flow management; compounding; answering drug information questions; pharmacy projects; obtaining medication histories;
