About The Position

The Pharmacy Intern performs technical support functions in the department under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in Pharmacy program in an accredited Pharmacy or pre-pharmacy Program of study.
• General medical terminology is preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with general office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, computer.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical support functions in the pharmacy department.
• Assist in the lifting, pushing, and pulling of medical supplies and equipment.
• Support the transferring and repositioning of patients.
• Work independently without supervision when required.
• Adhere to hospital/department dress code including wearing ID badge.
• Work as necessary during disaster situations.
