About The Position

Requirements

  • Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to the start date.
  • Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience performing prescription dispensing activities with knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws.
  • Certified Immunizer or willingness to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolve customer issues in a timely manner and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
  • Develop strong relationships with valuable customers by anticipating their needs and proactively offering services.
  • Counsel patients regarding medication usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy.
  • Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, and medication management.
  • Ensure the pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations and company policies.
  • Assist pharmacy manager in establishing efficient workflow procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of pharmacy systems and propose enhancements for productivity.
  • Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims and follow up with providers.
  • Perform retail, clinical, and wellness services such as immunizations and diabetes awareness.
  • Analyze performance data with the pharmacy manager and support inventory management.
  • Develop relationships with local medical community and participate in outreach activities.
  • Assist with staff hiring and training, providing coaching and feedback.
  • Maintain current knowledge and skills related to pharmacy and healthcare.
  • Support communication of corporate health and wellness services to pharmacy staff.
