About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Enrolled in an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Alabama Board of Pharmacy Intern/Extern License.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire/transfer.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Experience with ScriptPro Pharmacy Management System or ScriptPro Robotics Systems.
• APhA's Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certificate.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in preparing prescription medications.
• Perform data entry, filing, processing, and shipping of medications.
• Administer vaccinations under the supervision of a pharmacist (with certification).
• Transfer prescriptions to and from other pharmacies.
• Transcribe new prescriptions from verbal orders.
• Counsel patients and answer their questions.
