Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of full-time experience or equivalent in the pharmacy as a certified pharmacy technician or pharmacist
  • Must meet all state laws and regulations
  • The ability to read, understand and interpret technical written data
  • Must be willing to travel throughout the division in multiple states
  • Must be able to work in a pharmacy with a high volume of prescription activity
  • Must maintain continuing education requirements for technician certification
  • Ability to do simple addition, subtraction, copying figures, counting, and recording
  • Possess the ability to understand and follow written, verbal, or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies orally or in writing
  • Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with color vision, depth perception and field of vision
  • Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Significant responsibility to maintain customer service levels and handle multiple priorities
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations

Responsibilities

  • Conduct store visits focused on potential pharmacy shrink issues
  • Conduct store visits focused on issues identified by Pharmacy Compliance
  • Thorough knowledge of all pharmacy policies and procedures
  • General working knowledge of specific state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice
  • Complete knowledge of proper third-party billing procedures
  • Knowledge of proper billing of Medicare Part B
  • Knowledge of proper pharmacy workflow, organization and operations of a compliant pharmacy department
  • Ability to travel within and outside of market area with potential overnight stays
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written to multiple audiences (store teams, Compliance, Operations, Store Director)
  • Strong computer skills both within ARx/PDX, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision including having effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to observe, evaluate, and give direction on the performance of pharmacy staff
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Ability to identify operational issues within the pharmacy as related to compliance and third-party billing
  • Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to coach and educate others
  • Ability to establish relationships quickly
  • Ability to direct without having direct authority
  • Ability to balance receiving direction from multiple authorities while maintaining positive relationships
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
