Job Summary: The Pharmacy EDK Technician maintains EDK inventory and restocks EKITS for clients. SCHEDULE: Tuesday through Saturday, 9am - 5:30pm. Off Sunday and Monday.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of brand name/generic medications
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Able to work at a moderate speed.
  • Able to work during inclement weather.
  • Reliable
  • Detail-focused with analytical problem-solving skills
  • Able to physically perform light lifting.
  • Must be able to work various shifts and day
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Restock EKITS daily and update the expiration dates on content list as needed.
  • Remove soon to expire medication and replace as needed.
  • Build new EKITS as needed.
  • Periodically check shelves containing EKIT inventory for expired drugs
  • Provide a list of items that need to be ordered to the purchasing department.
  • Pre-package medication and products manually.
  • Ensure pre-pack log is completed each time medication is packaged.
  • Ensure all pre-packed EKIT inventory is verified by a pharmacist before it is placed on the shelf.
  • Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
  • Maintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed each shift
  • Alert pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly
  • Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
  • Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected
  • Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs
