Job Summary: The Pharmacy EDK Technician maintains EDK inventory and restocks EKITS for clients. SCHEDULE: Tuesday through Saturday, 9am - 5:30pm. Off Sunday and Monday.
Requirements
- Knowledge of brand name/generic medications
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Able to work at a moderate speed.
- Able to work during inclement weather.
- Reliable
- Detail-focused with analytical problem-solving skills
- Able to physically perform light lifting.
- Must be able to work various shifts and day
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice.
Nice To Haves
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred)
Responsibilities
- Restock EKITS daily and update the expiration dates on content list as needed.
- Remove soon to expire medication and replace as needed.
- Build new EKITS as needed.
- Periodically check shelves containing EKIT inventory for expired drugs
- Provide a list of items that need to be ordered to the purchasing department.
- Pre-package medication and products manually.
- Ensure pre-pack log is completed each time medication is packaged.
- Ensure all pre-packed EKIT inventory is verified by a pharmacist before it is placed on the shelf.
- Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
- Maintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed each shift
- Alert pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly
- Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
- Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected
- Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs
