About The Position

Job Title: Dosis Lead Tech FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Production Manager Hourly/Salary: Hourly Department:Production ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Predictable, reliable, and punctual attendance is an essential function of the job role. The functions are as follow but not limited to: · Train new employees on correct policies and procedures related to DOSIS · Monitoring training plan to ensure progress · Continually evaluate current staff for training/re-training and development opportunities · Ensure optimal utilization of DOSIS machines, at all times, to include restocking medications and supplies, canister swaps, inventory ordering requests, and distribution of daily workload among both machines and staff · Maintain stocking of canisters by staff throughout the day to minimize interruptions in the filling process. · Train staff on proper use of DOSIS home screen to manage restocks, canister swaps, maintenance/cleaning, active/inactive canisters, adding medications, etc. · Managing fill discrepancies and utilizing the SOP to have staff return these to canisters for reuse following pharmacist approval. · Work with prepack department to manage Dosis returns and adding cards into the prepack manager · Teach staff best practices regarding canister swaps, utilizing the home screen, in order to maximize throughput and reduce needed cannisters. · Helping to develop and maintain current and future Dosis SOPs. · Workflow monitoring/Queue management to ensure orders are coming out timely. · Review drug throughput reporting to determine cannister production in order to determine if cannisters should be replaced with new drugs. · Tracking helpdesk tickets to ensure resolution and follow through. · Cleaning/Maintenance – Assigning and maintaining cleaning requirements/schedules. · Troubleshoot reported cannister/tower issues and ensure follow through on tickets. · Ensuring personnel are completing daily tasks as needed (Check/order stock, report broken canisters, clean stations, etc.) · Ensure team remains punctual and is available when scheduled. · Review scheduling to ensure there is consistent coverage at Dosis. Work with workflow lead to move resources. · Contributes to the production strategy by understanding the metric goals and how to achieve them · Maintains thorough knowledge of department processes · Responds quickly and practically to emergencies, crises, or unexpected issues during the shift · Exhibits strong interpersonal and customer service skills · Fosters a collaborative and positive working environment · Communicates with pharmacy management on issues or opportunities that may impact workflow, efficiencies or production.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation and documentation.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
