About The Position

The Pharmacy Director will oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy within a local healthcare facility that provides integrated primary medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare services. This role is crucial in ensuring patient-centered care and managing a team of pharmacy staff effectively while promoting a culture of teamwork and respect. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy operations and a commitment to serving diverse patient populations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Possess and maintain a current license from the state board of pharmacy.
• 1 year pharmacy experience in a retail setting.
• Supervisory experience planning, organizing and directing the work of pharmacy staff.
• Valid Montana driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring adequate pharmacist coverage and filling in as needed.
• Conduct timely performance evaluations and handle employee discipline/termination.
• Engage customers, resolve issues, and ensure a positive experience while promoting products/services.
• Model customer service best practices and counsel patients on medication use, side effects, interactions, and privacy.
• Perform pharmacist duties such as compounding, drug reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Collaborate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions, suggest alternatives, and address health concerns.
• Provide retail, clinical, and wellness services (e.g., immunizations, flu shots, diabetes awareness).
• Analyze performance data and identify areas for improvement in pharmacy operations.
