About The Position

The Accountable Care Organization Team is seeking a Pharmacy (Data Analytics) Intern to support initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes through advanced data-driven strategies. This role offers hands-on experience in leveraging analytics and emerging technologies (such as AI and predictive analytics) to enhance medication management, monitor clinical metrics, and contribute to value-based care models. The intern will collaborate with clinical teams, participate in patient-facing projects, and gain exposure to innovative healthcare solutions that prioritize safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time accredited public or private College/University PharmD student completing their second graduation level year (P2 year) preferred
  • Strong interest in value-based care and improving patient outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and foundational data analytics skills.
  • Familiarity with healthcare concepts such as medication management and ambulatory care.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility, reliability, and commitment to patient safety.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident
  • Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
  • Must be committed to completing the duration of the internship from June 2026 - August 2026

Responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing pharmacy-related data to identify trends and opportunities for improving patient outcomes.
  • Support projects involving AI-driven tools and vendor solutions for clinical outcome optimization (e.g., blood pressure, A1C management).
  • Contribute to medication management and pharmacogenomics initiatives.
  • Participate in patient outreach efforts to promote adherence and medication safety in ambulatory and transition of care settings.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards using Excel and other analytics tools to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and attend regular team meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with patient safety standards and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
  • Support research related to health economics and outcomes and, health services, and real-world evidence within a value-based care model.
