About The Position

The position involves modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience while assisting in pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. Responsibilities include providing courteous and efficient checkout service, engaging with customers, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. The role also includes operational tasks such as inventory management, maintaining store cleanliness, and assisting with customer service in various areas of the store.

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Good math skills for accurately filling prescriptions.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide efficient checkout service.
• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision.
• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
• Recommend items for sale and assist customers in locating products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems accurately.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist immediately.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist's personal attention.
• Assist with inventory management activities in the pharmacy department.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Construct and maintain promotional displays and assist with stock rotation.
• Provide customer service in the photo area and assist with web pick-up responsibilities.
• Ensure the store is clean, neat, and orderly.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
