About The Position

Ensure pharmacist coverage for all hours of operation in each store. Support the division with administrative activities. Secure coverage for division pharmacies when pharmacists request time off.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years in a customer contact position (retail preferred).
  • Ability to work 8 hours daily, Monday-Friday.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; ability to prepare accurate documents quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, confidential, with strong follow-up skills and good judgment.
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills; ability to meet timelines.
  • Sense of urgency combined with patience.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous pharmacy experience is beneficial.
  • Experience with out-of-store projects or assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all pharmacies are staffed during operating hours while optimizing payroll expense and selecting the best coverage for each opening.
  • Schedule Float, Relief, and Agency Pharmacists to fill open shifts that meet business needs.
  • Build positive relationships with the pharmacist team to ensure successful coverage of open shifts.
  • Keep Pharmacy District Managers and Store Directors informed of staffing solutions and float pharmacist scheduling.
  • Seek approval whenever extra payroll expense is required.
  • Confirm coverage for approved time-off requests promptly.
  • Provide HR/Payroll with accurate information for charging expenses related to floater and relief pharmacist salaries, including transfers, promotions, and demotions.
  • Administer and implement the planning process for next year's vacation needs; maintain a vacation calendar for all pharmacists.
  • Assist District Pharmacy Managers with payroll issues, POA & PIC paperwork, floater pharmacist mileage, and expense reimbursements.
  • Pre-screen RX tech applicants and assist with scheduling store-level training.
  • Support Pharmacy Operations as requested.
