A Pharmacy Coordinator who excels in this role: Provide clinical support and coordinates all clinical pharmacy activities in the facility in collaboration with physicians, nursing services, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality and cost-effective drug therapy management to our patients. Supervise all clinical pharmacy activities in the department. Establish goals and directions for all clinical pharmacy services within departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols. Manage drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team. Review, interpret, and evaluate medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug related problems. Provide drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, pharmacy students, and patients. Document intervention and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts. Evaluate medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry. Check for accuracy after filling by technicians. Lead the Pharmacy & Therapeutic Committee and Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee. Standing member of additional clinical meetings. Staff periodically to meet the needs of the department. Assists the pharmacy director in managerial tasks.

Requirements

  • Applicants should have a doctor of pharmacy.
  • Current Arizona state pharmacist license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of general or specialized hospital pharmacy residency preferred.
