The Coordinator, Pharmacy Regulatory supports the Medication Safety team in ensuring regulatory compliance across community, specialty, and home delivery pharmacy service lines within the Ohio market. This role leads proactive assessments across hospitals, ambulatory centers, and Family Health Centers, supporting sterile compounding oversight, accreditation readiness, and integration of new practice sites. Responsibilities include preparing for surveys and audits, conducting compliance reviews, documenting findings, managing action plans, inspecting environments, reviewing inventory and documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The coordinator also supports onboarding, provides education to clinical staff, contributes to regulatory projects, and may assist with technician-level responsibilities as needed. This role requires frequent travel to various locations to ensure consistent compliance and operational standards. A caregiver in this position will work Monday – Friday from 7:30am – 4pm. No holidays, weekends or on-call responsibilities. Caregivers will be able to work 3 days from home after the initial 90 days, with 2 days supporting in-person at regional hospitals. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Coordinate pharmacy continual readiness efforts and participates on continual readiness rounds with Office of Accreditation. Generate reports and metrics to support and develop efficient workflow operations. Analyze and summarize data to support and develop efficient workflow operations. Coordinate activities and schedules of pharmacy regulatory technicians to ensure maximum efficiency and outcomes. Train the technicians and perform continual quality assurance monitoring to ensure consistency and effectiveness of technical staff. Coordinate monthly ASC financial reporting for end of month close for specialty pharmacy. Prepare organization for continual readiness for URAC accreditation. Perform necessary audits and training required for internal quality efforts and external customer requirements. Assess licensure for market expansion efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five years specialized experience in related Health Systems/Regulatory work may offset bachelor's degree
  • Must meet all of the following license and certification combination requirements at the time of application: Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR the National HealthCareer Association (NHA) AND it is required to hold an active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee. If certified but current status with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) is Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee it is required to update registration status to a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the OBOP within six months of hire.
  • Please note: A status as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee with OBOP does not qualify for this role.
