About The Position

Join our dynamic team as a key player in enhancing the success of independent pharmacies! Under the guidance of the Director of Field Business Coaching, you will cultivate strong advisor-consultant relationships with our valued pharmacy customers. By delivering targeted training modules and tailored offerings, you'll empower pharmacy owners to diagnose and tackle financial, operational, and strategic challenges head-on. You'll provide essential tools, education, and ongoing support to help them thrive in a competitive landscape. Requirements

  • Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree Program.
  • Normally requires a minimum of five (5) years industry experience and/or directly related and progressively responsible experience.
  • Preferred to be bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Working knowledge of the retail pharmacy industry including trends and challenges facing customers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and adapt communication style to various audiences.
  • Ability to actively listen and influence others with different points of view.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of value, profit, and budgeting.
  • Advanced knowledge of techniques to improve profitability of a small business.
  • Proven successful business tactics; credible image in the industry; good marketing skills.
  • Ability to forecast, set goals, and train others.
  • Knowledge of product and customer service standards for retail business.
  • Advanced analytical and probing skills, including proficiency in related computer programs such as excel, power point, and word.
  • Strong presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Increases customer 'stickiness' through development of productive business relationships by understanding the customers' strategic business objectives and decision making process to motivate behavioral change to improve profitability.
  • Addresses existing problems within basic pharmacy functional areas to identify potential areas of weakness within the operation.
  • Acts as an instructor and subject matter expert to provide advice, guidance and feedback on store operations and business strategy.
  • Develops and maintains a strong base of working knowledge of the retail market, including industry trends, competitive intel, and pressures facing customers.
  • Drives results by mapping opportunities to specific needs and driving acceptance of recommendations by diagnosing the problems and supporting the implementation of targeted solutions.
  • Guides in-store implementations and works with the corresponding personnel.
  • Executes complex processes and interacts in client-facing situations by identifying appropriate leverage points in each pharmacy to determine total commitment to the customer.
  • Prepares, formats, and distributes necessary reports by compiling pharmacy data and assisting in the creation of an information backbone.
  • Manages all aspects of the programs to communicate information, instructions and goals.
  • Develops new concepts, implements, details and is constantly aware of competitive activity.
  • Works closely with the central data analysis group to review market analyses and determine customer needs through various profiles and segment pharmacies.
  • Continually maintain and input coaching activities into the CRM.
  • Represents programs at meetings in order to promote their role in the Company structure, contributing to attainment of program goals.
  • Provides feedback to the Director of Business Coaching to communicate industry intelligence and specific recommendations to manage individual programs, policies, products and prices needed to meet corporate objectives.
  • Work with Director of Field Coaching to proactively develop and identify development opportunities for skills, professional acumen, and training.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively (including overnight travel) within the assigned customer base and geographic territory; travel to events such as conferences, national and local trade conventions.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
