HCA Florida Englewood Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator - Pharmacist to provide consultative pharmacy services for patient care areas and assist with the implementation and maintenance of pharmacy programs. The role involves providing leadership support with department operations and staff supervision, ensuring efficient operation of pharmacy consult services, and acting as a resource of clinical information for other pharmacists and healthcare providers. The position is based in a 100 bed acute care hospital recognized for its efforts in the prevention and treatment of various illnesses.

  • Provide oversight of pharmacy distribution activities including order receipt, product storage, controlled substance process, dispensing and other distributional functions.
  • Evaluate and analyze clinical data, medication use, drug and drug class monograph development in support of clinical toolkit development.
  • Provide leadership and support in the execution of clinical pharmacy programs.
  • Coordinate educational activities, prepare and coordinate agendas for committee meetings and participate in other multidisciplinary committees as needed.
  • Ensure efficient operation of all pharmacy consult services; orient staff to processes as appropriate.
  • Act as a resource of clinical information for other pharmacists and healthcare providers.
  • Provide leadership support in the development, implementation and maintenance of clinical pharmacy programs to ensure clinical services meet the requirements and needs of the patient population and community.
  • Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree in Pharmacy from College of Pharmacy.
  • One to three years recent inpatient hospital experience as a staff pharmacist; One year in a lead or supervisory position preferred.
  • Current FL Pharmacist license or licensure eligible.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communications skills.
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
