Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service. Ensures cleanliness of department. Orders product and supplies and logs invoices as necessary. This role involves providing prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions, treating customers as the most important people in the store. The clerk is expected to smile and greet customers in a friendly manner, learn customers’ names, and assist them by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, noting suggestions, and performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience. The position also involves answering the telephone promptly and providing helpful service. Key duties include stocking received product and supplies, working as a team with co-workers, reviewing unpicked prescriptions, ordering products and supplies, reviewing invoices, coordinating nursing home medicines, logging invoices, preparing paperwork and compiling medicine for delivery and mail orders, cleaning the pharmacy, taking refill orders, removing trash, maintaining hygiene and dress code, gathering patient information, keeping supplies stocked, and performing cash transactions. The clerk must adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines and report to work as scheduled and on time. They may also administer vaccines as allowed by law.
